For the second year in a row, I will have a table in the Artist Alley at Dexcon which is a gaming convention featuring table-top games, role playing games, live action roleplay (LARP,) video games, and more! Dexcon pretty much takes over the Morristown Hyatt in Morristown, NJ, and is a really fun event! Check out the details:
Dexcon 2015
7/1/15 through 7/5/15 (I will be at the Ally starting 7/3)
at
The Morristown Hyatt and Convention Center at Headquarters Plaza
3 Speedwell Avenue
Morristown, NJ 07960
This event runs 24 hours a day (!!) but the Artist Alley typically is open between 10:30 am until midnight (sometimes longer!)
Parking is almost non-existent on the street, so unless you take the train into Morristown (station is little more than a half mile from the hotel,) expect to park in the parking garage (fee but free with validation for paid convention-goers.) There is a fee for the convention (which enables you to play games and visit the Vendor Room among other activities) but the Artist Alley is open to the public as part of the lobby floor. In other words, you do not have to register for the convention in order to visit the artists (including me!) However, if you’re into gaming, I highly suggest taking part in the convention (there’s stuff for beginners as well as advanced gamers including tournaments!) There will be a bunch of excellent artists there who work in various mediums, often with gaming or fantasy themes. There is also a movie theater and eateries available to the public in the hotel complex.
The website with all the information you need (including pre-registration for the convention) is http://www.dexposure.com/d2015.html
So come on out, even just to visit and say hi! There’s a lot going on all weekend, you’ll love it!
