With all the options available from Pixels.com, what do I, as the artist, recommend? My favorite print paper by far is the Somerset Velvet, which is a cotton rag that really makes the colors pop. It’s thick, soft to touch, and looks most like an original pastel art piece (and closest to the original.) Second favorite for paper prints is the semi-matte photo paper. This has a light gloss to it, but the darks are really dark, adding great contrast. Metallic paper gives the images an entrancing edge and ties for second-favorite. The gallery-wrapped canvas is lovely, and I recommend expanding the painting around the sides (rather than the default black sides) and getting the matte finish to more closely replicate the look of the original pastel. The acrylic panel is modern, sturdy, and the image looks tremendous. The throw pillows are wonderful and hold their color even in brightly-lit rooms. These are all items I personally own and can attest to. More suggestions to come!
