What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
Information you provide through our contact forms are used solely for direct communication purposes between Spirit’s Paintbrush and you. This data may be retained for Spirit’s Paintbrush to contact you in the future unless you specify that we delete it. Information collected via contact forms are never harvested by us to be sold to a third party.
Newsletter Signup
Information collected via newsletter signup forms are hosted and retained by a third-party site (currently as of this writing Mailchimp) and is solely used for communication purposes between Spirit’s Paintbrush and you. By signing up for a newsletter, you are choosing to opt-in to receiving communications from Spirit’s Paintbrush. You may cancel your subscription at any time without explanation by following the instructions at the bottom of the newsletter.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Who we share your data with
Any data collected by Spirit’s Paintbrush is used solely for communication with you to provide goods and services as well as an interactive experience. Your information is shared solely in the process of providing those goods and services, such as shipping information for a product you order. We do not sell your information. We prefer to make our money providing quality products and service, not by selling your info!
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. You can also delete your account by clicking on the Delete Account link at the bottom of your profile page while you are signed into our site.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. You can also delete your registered account by clicking on the Delete Account link at the bottom of your profile page while you are signed into our site.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

How we protect your data
Our website is hosted by Powweb which has virus and spam protection software in place as well as weekly Sitelock scans for malware. Any information collected on company servers for direct communication purposes are backed behind a double firewall with up to date virus and malware protection.
Information collected through third party hosted sites such as Mailchimp or Mailerlite are secured by their own systems. Please feel free to check their privacy policy if you have concerns about signing up through their service for our newsletter.
